After almost 30 years in real estate, I've worn a lot of hats - property owner, landlord, property manager, investor, wholesaler, agent, and broker. One property became my real-world classroom.
It taught me what really happens after the purchase: the tenants, the repairs, the late-night calls, the risk, the paperwork, and the ongoing responsibility.
Eventually, I reached a point where I couldn't turn off being a landlord. Even on vacation, I was still thinking about a property.
That experience showed me that there isn't a single right answer for every property or every owner. What matters is understanding your situation and finding the right path forward.
